FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

"Thoughts and suggestions on planning the perfect shoot day."

DO YOU SHOOT FILM OR DIGITAL?

I bring digital and film cameras to all shoots and select the best one for each event based on a variety of factors. I use film about 70 percent of the time. All film and digital images are processed and cohesively presented together.

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU USUALLY SHOOT & HOW MANY PHOTOS DO WE GET?

I’m a big believer in shooting for quality, not quantity.
My goal is to shoot the most beautiful images possible. My full day package includes 600+ print ready edited images in high resolution digital negatives and a box of favorites in print.

WHAT’S INVOLVED IN BOOKING MAITHA LUNDE FOR A WEDDING?

Once you have selected a package, I will prepare and send a photography contract for your review. I ask that you return this within 7 days. Once I receive your signed contract and the 50 percent photography retainer, your wedding date is officially booked! The final balance is due seven days after the wedding date.

WILL WE GET SHOTS OF OUR FAMILY, FRIENDS PLUS DECORATIONS AND DETAILS?

I encourage every couple to make a little list of key shots to get. If you are having more than 100 guests I suggest hiring 2 photographers. This way I could be with the bride & groom while the second photographer stays with the guests & shoots decorations and wedding set up.

DO YOU WORK WITH A SECOND SHOOTER?

Depending on the scale of the event, I’ll bring on additional shooters or assistants. I can hire a trusted colleague to assist me during the day shooting portraits and the groom’s “getting ready” to crucial moments like the ceremony, first dance, cake cutting, etc.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS AND PORTRAIT SESSIONS?

Yes!

IS TRAVEL INCLUDED?

Travel is not included. As each wedding is unique, I love to learn about your destination and celebration before we discuss travel plans. We then customize a quote based on the location and number of shooting days. The travel quote is added to your selected Wedding Package. I handle all of my own travel arrangements unless otherwise arranged and specified.

HOW MUCH DOES IT ALL COST?

I offer different options for different needs so please email me in order to receive my Price Guide PDF.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR YOU TO POST OUR PHOTOS ONLINE?

Turnaround times for engagement and portrait sessions average 4 to 5 weeks. Turnaround times for wedding images average 6 to 8 weeks.

WHEN WILL YOU ARRIVE TO OUR DESTINATION EVENT?

I always plan to arrive at least the morning prior to the wedding (or first event we are shooting). This time frame allows for any travel delays, and affords me time to get acclimated prior to scouting the wedding and shooting locations. During scouting, I often begin taking location and “scene” shots, which help narrate the complete story of your wedding.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET SICK?

Should unforeseen circumstances prevent me from attending your wedding, I will do my best to arrange a replacement photographer of equivalent caliber and style, or simply return all monies and allow you to make your own arrangements if you so choose.

DO YOU OFFER VIDEOGRAPHY?

I can recommend some talented colleagues that maybe able to cover your event.

WHAT KIND OF CAMERAS DO YOU USE?

I shoot with both film and digital Canon 35mm cameras, as well as Contax 645 medium format film cameras. I always bring camera backups.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET THE ALBUM IN THE POST?

If an album is included in your collection, you will receive a first draft approximately 6 to 8 weeks after receiving your images. I custom design and lay out your album drafts to best narrate your wedding’s beautiful story. When you receive the first draft, you have the opportunity to make revisions. These may include swapping images, omitting spreads or adding spreads. Once you have approved your draft layout, we edit the images for the last time and send you a final PDF to approve before proceeding to production. Inquire for more information on my hand crafted hierloom albums.
